Get a notification when he signs on and when he asks for more time — even when this page is closed.

The old retro games we put on for him — no internet, nobody else, just him winding down. This is the quiet time he gets when his online time ends.
While he is playing offline, these top up his time there and then — handy when a game runs past ten minutes.
His PC
Lock warns him on screen and puts him back at the Windows sign-in 30 seconds later, so he can get out of a match first. Sleep is the quiet one — nothing is lost and it wakes on a key press.

Pops up big on his PC for about 15 seconds — “dinner in five, start wrapping up”.

How it works
A star puts the minutes on his clock straight away. A strike takes the same back off — but never time he has already used, so the worst it can do is end today early. The week runs Monday to Monday and starts again on its own.
Games
What he can pick during the wind-down. Locked ones still show on his screen with a padlock, so he can see what is there to earn.
“Unlock all” opens everything, then lock the few you don’t want. Buttons act on whatever the filters above are showing.

Remove it
Takes the timer off his PC completely — the countdown, the games shelf, the lot. His own files are left alone. It happens within a minute, and you would have to install it again from the USB to get it back.

Put it on his PC
- Copy the KidGuard folder onto a USB stick.
- Plug it into his PC, signed in as yourself (an admin account).
- Run “Install PC Kids Timer.exe”, say yes to Windows.
- Pick his account, choose a 4-digit PIN, press Install.
- It copies the games — a few minutes.
- Note the pairing code on the last screen, then restart.
Run it on the PC itself, or copy it to a USB stick first.

On this account, tap ＋ Add a PC at the top, type his pairing code and the same PIN, and give him a name. Do it again for each child.
Turn on alerts
On the Now tab, tap “Turn alerts on” so your phone buzzes when he signs on or asks for more time. On an iPhone, add this page to your Home Screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen), then open it from there.
The PIN
It's yours, not his, and separate from any Windows password. It unlocks the PC when time's up and is the only thing that can remove KidGuard. Don't use a birthday, and don't let him watch you type it.
